Our Zedex CPT High Performance Damp Proof Course (DPC) are manufactured from co-polymer thermoplastic (CPT) providing all the characteristics necessary for it to perform effectively for the lifetime of the building in which it is incorporated.
The tools of the trade required for this are a roller with a neoprene wheel, a sharp knife or pair of scissors. To complete the job, you will need Zedex CPT High Performance Damp Proof Course, a Zedex pre-formed 90 degree corner unit and Zedex Jointing Tape which is double sided butyl rubber based for optimum workability.
This is the Zedex corner unit:
To ensure that you create the best seal, we recommend that the Zedex Jointing Tape is applied to the corner unit before you start the installation process. This should be done in a clean and dust free environment.
Apply the tape at the edge of the corner unit. Using the roller, press it down over the tape to ensure that it is fully bonded to the corner unit. Repeat the process for the other side of the corner unit.
The completed unit should look like this:
Position the corner unit on the corner of the masonry ensuring a snug fit between the blockwork and the facing brick:
Peel off the release film on the tape and position the Zedex High Performance DPC on the exposed tape ensuring the DPC covers the whole width of the tape. Ensure a watertight seal is created by applying pressure to the newly formed joint:
You will now have one of the corner unit fully jointed. Simply repeat the same process for the other side of the corner unit to end up with a fully completed Zedex corner unit installation.
Excellent performance under high compressive loads.
- Outperforms all other high performance flexible DPCs
